Plywood (Multiplex)

Plywood is an engineered board made from thin sheets of wood, called plies or veneers. The layers are glued together, each with its grain at right angles to adjacent layers for greater strength. The plies are bonded under heat and pressure with strong adhesives, usually phenol formaldehyde resin, making plywood a type of composite material.

While maintaining product characteristics, the use of ECOSE® Technology eliminates formaldehyde and phenol from the process, improving worker safety and reducing emissions of regulated pollutants. By eliminating petroleum-based binder ingredients, ECOSE® Technology also reduces the carbon footprint and provides greater raw material cost control while producing a more sustainable finished product with lower embodied energy.
