Glass and rock mineral wool

The latter term is generally used to refer to materials such as glass wool (fiberglass) and rock mineral wool. The fibers are traditionally bonded with a resin binder, based on phenols and formaldehyde.

While maintaining finished product tensile strength and performance characteristics, the use of ECOSE® Technology eliminates formaldehyde and phenol from the process, improving worker safety and reducing emissions of regulated pollutants. By eliminating petroleum-based binder ingredients, ECOSE® Technology also reduces the carbon footprint and provides greater raw material cost control while producing a more sustainable finished product with lower embodied energy.
